Penguins lose 2-1 to Caps (7-Nov-2018)
The Penguins lose 2-1 to the Capitals in front of 18,506 at Capital One Arena. Braden Holtby stole the game for Washington as the Pens outshot the Caps 42-22. Sidney Crosby scored the lone Pittsburgh goal at 12:16 of the first on the power play. Ovechkin tied it on the power play in the second and TJ Oshie, who was injured twice in the game, got the game-winner with 1:14 to go in the game. The Pens have now lost five in a row.
Penguins lose 3-2 to Islanders in shootout (1-Nov-2018)
The Penguins lose 3-2 in shootout to Isles in front of 10,910 at Barclays Center. The story of the game was Islanders' goaltender, Thomas Greiss, who made 29 saves and got NY the sweep of the home-and-home series. Dominik Simon and Evgeni Malkin each scored power-play goals. Malkin extended his point streak to nine games (6g, 11a).

The Penguins lose 6-3 to Isles in front of 18,509 at PPG Paints Arena. Before the game, the Pens honored the victims of the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting and had two of the injured police officers drop ceremonial pucks. Pittsburgh fell behind 2-0 in the first but battled back to end the period tied 2-2. New York put the game away in the second with three goals, two from Jordan Eberle. Matt Murray was pulled after the first Eberle goal.
