Pens close out season with 5-3 loss to Washington (7-Apr-2003)
At least it's over. The Pens' dismal 2002-03 campaign ends with a 5-3 loss to the Capitals. The teams traded goals over the first two periods and found themselves tied at one. Pittsburgh got two soft goals early in the third to take a 3-1 lead but then it was all Washington and they scored four goals in the final thirteen plus minutes.
On a personal note, I just want to thank everyone for checking out the site this season!
