Pens down Senators 4-1 (30-Oct-2002)
Pittsburgh's power play stays red-hot in their 4-1 win over Ottawa. The Penguins add two more power play goals to their season total. Dick Tarnstrom, Jan Hrdina, Alexei Kovalev and Mario Lemieux score as Johan Hedberg makes 21 saves on 22 shots.

Beech was unable to control the pass but Hrdina got to the loose puck and beat Lalime from in close.

  • Alexei Kovalev increased the lead to two goals with his 8th of the season at 12:11. Off a faceoff, Mario Lemieux passed to Kovalev who one-timed it by Lalime from the inside of the left circle.
