  • Anaheim made it 2-0 when Petr Sykora scored a power play goal with under a minute to go in the first period. Matt Cullen took a shot from in close which Aubin saved but the rebound was picked up by Sykora who banged it in with a backhander from out front.

  • Shots after one period were 12-7 in favor of Anaheim.
  • The Ducks enjoyed a three goal lead when Andy McDonald notched his 8th of the year early in the second. Matt Cullen and McDonald had a two-on-one down low. Cullen passed over to McDonald who backhanded it one-time under Aubin's right leg from the the left side of the net.

  • Mike Leclerc made it 4-0 with an odd goal at 13:34. Leclerc, in the right corner, whacked at the puck which hit the crossbar, came down and bounced back toward the goal. Aubin appeared to keep it out with his catching glove as it slid over the goal line. The referee signalled "no goal" but after a video replay the goal counted.

  • Anaheim finished off the scoring at 8:14 of the third with another Andy McDonald goal. McDonald, who was all alone in front, took a nice feed from Cullen and deftly deflected the puck high over Aubin's glove.
