March practice schedule (28-Feb-2007)
The Pittsburgh Penguins' March Practice Schedule at Southpointe is available. The Pens have four open practices during March.

Pens blanked by Brodeur and the Devils 1-0 (27-Feb-2007)
Martin Brodeur turned aside all 31 Pittsburgh shots he faced as the Devils beat the Penguins 1-0 in front of 17,006 at Mellon Arena. Jamie Langenbrunner scored the lone goal of the game on a power play early in the second period with a slap shot. Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin both had seven game point-scoring streaks ended.

Penguins defeat Devils 5-4 (16-Feb-2007)
The Penguins hold on and defeat the Devils 5-4 in front of an announced crowd of 15,404 at Continental Airlines Arena. Pittsburgh had three three-goal leads including a 5-2 advantage after two periods. Goalscorers for the Pens were Jarkko Ruutu (2), Rob Scuderi, Jordan Staal and Sidney Crosby. With the victory, the Pens are now only five points back of the Devils who sit atop the Atlantic Division and Pittsburgh has a game in hand. The Pens are now 13-0-2 in their last 15 games.

Penguins defeat Blackhawks 5-4 in shootout (14-Feb-2007)
The Penguins give up yet another multiple goal lead but again find a way to win as they defeat Chicago 5-4 in a shooutout in front of 17,051 at Mellon Arena. Pittsburgh led 3-1 when Michel Ouellet scored his 13th of the season at 15:01 of the second but Chicago then scored the game's next three goals. Evgeni Malkin tied the game up with 5:39 to go in the third. After a scoreless overtime in which Marc-Andre Fleury robbed Martin Havlat with a tremendous leg save, Fleury then stopped both Chicago shooutout attempts and Erik Christensen and Evgeni Malkin scored giving the Pens the victory. The Pens are now 12-0-2 in their last 14 games.

Pens beat Leafs 6-5 in overtime (10-Feb-2007)
The Penguins defeat the Leafs in a seesaw battle 6-5 in overtime in front of 19,620 at Air Canada Centre. Pittsburgh scored three times in the first but then allowed Toronto to do the same in the second. The Leafs twice had one goal advantages in the third but the Pens tied it with a Maxime Talbot goal at 13:49 to send it to overtime. Jordan Staal capped off a hat trick with the game-winner at 3:54 of overtime while the team's were skating 3-on-3. Staal, who also netted the game's first two goals, became the youngest player in NHL history to score a hat trick.

Pens down Flyers 5-4 on Crosby shootout goal (8-Feb-2007)
The Pens remain unbeaten (7-0) against Philadelphia with a 5-4 shootout victory in front of an announced crowd of 19,512 at Wachovia Center. Jordan Staal opened the scoring with his 20th goal of the season by chipping a backhander of a rebound past Antero Niittymaki just as a power play expired at 9:35 of the first period. The Flyers then got two power play goals from Simon Gagne in the first period. Michel Ouellet tied it at two with a breakaway power play goal at 12:56 of the second period. Pittsburgh took a two goal lead when they got goals from Mark Recchi and Erik Christensen in the first 1:04 of the third period. Philadelphia fought back with goals from Mike Knuble at 5:58 and 18:36 to send the game into overtime. After an entertaining but scoreless overtime, the teams headed to a shootout where Sidney Crosby, who had been held pointless in the game, was the lone player from either team to score giving Pittsburgh the 5-4 victory.
