The Penguins have recalled forward Connor James and defenseman Alex Goligoski from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on an emergency basis.
Pens lose 5-1 to Bruins; Hossa hurt (29-Feb-2008)
The Bruins dominate the Penguins 5-1 in front of 17,565 at the TD Banknorth Garden. Pittsburgh's lone goal was scored by newcomer Pascal Dupuis at 13:03 of the third which cut Boston's lead to three... Marian Hossa's debut was cut short when he left the game in the second period with a sprained knee. Initial reports are that he will miss a week. An MRI is scheduled for Friday.
March practice schedule (28-Feb-2008)
The Penguins March practice schedule has been released. The team has seven open practices at Southpointe scheduled for March.
Scuderi out 3-4 weeks with fractured finger (28-Feb-2008)
Rob Scuderi had surgery this morning to repair a fractured finger. He will be out 3-4 weeks.
Conklin stops 50 shots in 4-2 victory over Islanders (27-Feb-2008)
Ty Conklin turned aside 50 of the 52 shots he faced as the Penguins defeat the Islanders 4-2 in front of 11,258 at Nassau Coliseum. Pittsburgh was outshot 23-6 in the first period yet held a 2-0 lead on goals from Evgeni Malkin and Jeff Taffe. Frans Nielsen cut the lead to one near the midpoint of the second. Jordan Staal and Connor James (his first in the NHL) scored in the third before Ruslan Fedotenko's closed out the scoring with a late power-play goal.
Pens lose pair of games over weekend but still pick up 2 points (25-Feb-2008)
The Penguins lose twice over the weekend but still earn two points with their 4-3 overtime loss to Ottawa on Saturday and 2-1 shootout loss to San Jose on Sunday.
Pens win wild one 5-4 against Montreal (22-Feb-2008)
The Penguins recover from blowing a lead after two periods with two goals near the mid-point of the third to defeat the Canadiens 5-4 in front of 21,273 at Centre Bell.
Pens down Panthers 3-2 with late Malone goals (20-Feb-2008)
Ryan Malone scored twice in the last three and a half minutes of the game which gave the Penguins a 3-2 victory over the Panthers in front of 17,075 at Mellon Arena. Pittsburgh trailed 2-0 after two periods as Florida scored in each period. Colby Armstrong notched his 8th of the season at 4:43 of the third. Evgeni Malkin had two assists and now leads the league in points with 79 (34g, 45a).
Pens call up Minard and James; Beech on IR (15-Feb-2008)
The Penguins called up forwards Chris Minard and Connor James from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Kris Beech was placed on injured reserve. He suffered a broken wrist vs. Carolina and will be sidelined indefinitely.
Goligoski returned to WBS (15-Feb-2008)
The Penguins have sent D Alex Goligoski back to WBS.
Penguins beaten 4-2 by Hurricanes (15-Feb-2008)
The Penguins waste a 42-save effort by goaltender Dany Sabourin and lose 4-2 to Carolina in front of 14,922 at RBC Center. The Hurricanes scored three power play goals on six chances. Brooks Orpik (his first since Oct 22, 2005) and Evgeni Malkin scored for Pittsburgh.
The game also had multiple injuries: Rod Brind'Amour tore his left ACL after a Georges Laraque hit, Jeff Taffe had his nose broken on a high hit, and Kris Beech injured his right wrist.
Pens recall Kennedy (14-Feb-2008)
The Penguins have recalled Tyler Kennedy from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. It is the third recall this season for Kennedy, who was re-assigned to WBS on February 8th for a conditioning assignment.

The Penguins get held to 21 shots on goal by Boston and lose 2-1 in front of 16,982 at Mellon Arena. The Bruins scored twice late in the first period and put on a defensive clinic. Pittsburgh's lone goal was scored by Evgeni Malkin in the third period on one of their eight power play opportunities.
Pens send Stone and Fleury to WBS. (11-Feb-2008)
The Penguins have sent Ryan Stone and Marc-Andre Fleury to WBS. Fleury has been out with an ankle injury on December 6th and is being sent down for a conditioning assignment.
Penguins win pair of games over weekend to grab first place (11-Feb-2008)
The Penguins defeated the Kings 4-2 on Saturday with goals from Malkin (2), Malone and Staal and downed the Flyers 4-3 on Sunday with goals from Sykora, Malkin, Gonchar and Letang. The four points propelled the Pens to first place in the Atlantic Division.
Pens send Kennedy to WBS (8-Feb-2008)
The Penguins have sent Tyler Kennedy down to WBS. Kennedy has missed eight games due to mononucleosis.
Pittsburgh now has 27 players on their roster. Twenty two active and five on injured reserve.

Ryan Whitney responds with a big night after criticism from head coach Michel Therrien. Whitney scored twice and added an assist in the Pens' 4-3 victory over the Islanders in front of 17,075 at Mellon Arena. Ryan Malone and Kris Letang (game-winner) also scored for Pittsburgh.

The Penguins have called up D Alex Goligoski from WBS. Goligoski has played 43 games this season for WBS registering 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) and a plus-five rating.
Pens blow two-goal lead and lose 4-3 in OT to Devils (5-Feb-2008)
The Penguins let a two-goal lead in the third period slip away and end up losing 4-3 in overtime to the Devils in front of 13,012 at the Prudential Center. Pittsburgh led 2-1 after two periods on goals from Ryan Malone and Petr Sykora. Jordan Staal scored a power play goal early in the third and the Pens appeared to be cruising to a victory but NJ got goals from Patrik Elias and David Clarkson near the midpoint of the third to tie it up. Zach Parise scored the game-winner in overtime for the Devils.
