Despite outshooting Tampa Bay 37-24, the Penguins lose 2-1 to the Lightning in front of 20,126 at St. Pete Times Forum. Tampa Bay scored twice on eight shots in the first and then held on as Pittsburgh peppered Dwayne Roloson with 31 shots in the second and third period but were only able to get a Mike Rupp goal at 4:31 of the third.
Penguins lose 5-2 to Flyers (29-Mar-2011)
The Penguins quest to top the Atlantic Division appears to be over after a 5-2 loss to the Flyers in front of 18,335 at CONSOL Energy Center. Pittsburgh held leads of 1-0 and 2-1 and goals from Alexei Kovalev at 12:22 of the first and Tyler Kennedy at 9:21 of the second. Philadelphia scored twice in the second period 47 seconds apart and added two more in the third for the win.

Penguins get pair of shootout victories over the weekend (27-Mar-2011)
The Penguins get their third and fourth straight shootout wins over the weekend. On Friday, they played the Devils and won 1-0 and on Sunday, they defeated Florida 2-1. Ben Lovejoy got the only goal in regulation.

Penguins blow four-goal lead but win 5-4 over Red Wings in shootout (21-Mar-2011)
The Penguins blow a 4-0 lead but beat the Red Wings 5-4 on James Neal's shootout winner in front of 20,066 at Joe Louis Arena. Pittsburgh built their lead on goals from Pascal Dupuis (2), Chris Kunitz and Tyler Kennedy and appeared to be cruising to an easy victory. However, Detroit scored late in the second, early in the third and then converted two power-play goals by the midpoint of the third to tie the game. After an entertaining overtime, the game was decided by Neal's lone conversion in the shootout.
Matt Cooke handed lengthy suspension (21-Mar-2011)
Matt Cooke has been suspended by the league for the remainder of the regular season and the first round of the playoffs for elbowing defenseman Ryan McDonagh of the New York Rangers in the head during Sunday afternoon's game.
Penguins lose 5-2 to Rangers (20-Mar-2011)
The Penguins give up four in the third, including an empty-netter, and lose 5-2 to the Rangers in front of 18,278 at CONSOL Energy Center. The teams traded first-period goals and were scoreless in the second. Matt Cooke took a dumb major elbowing penalty early in the third. Pittsburgh got a shorthanded goal from Chris Kunitz on the ensuing power play but Matt Niskanen then got called for a high-sticking double minor. New York scored once on the 5-on-3 and then added another power play goal 11 seconds later. The Rangers added two late goals to make the final 5-2.

The Penguins defeat the Sabres 3-1 in front of 18,314 at CONSOL Energy Center. Pittsburgh fell behind early 1-0 but goals 3:17 apart from James Neal and Zbynek Michalek early in the second period. The goals were the first for both in a Penguin uniform. Mark Letestu capped off the scoring with his 12th of the season at 13:06 of the third. Chris Kunitz returned to action after missing 13 games.

The Penguins lost and then won overtime games over the weekend to New Jersey and Boston. A 2-1 OT loss on Friday to the Devils was followed by a 3-2 OT win over the Bruins on Saturday.

The Penguins lose 3-2 in overtime to Toronto in front of 19,473 at Air Canada Centre. Pittsburgh held a 2-1 lead after two periods on goals from Matt Niskanen and Chris Conner but the Leafs got a game-tying goal from Phil Kessel and the winner 42 seconds into overtime from Mikhail Grabovski.
