Mario Lemieux will play in 2003-04 (31-Jul-2003)

Pens sign Buchberger and Eastwood (31-Jul-2003)
Craig Patrick announced during Lemieux's press conference that the Penguins have signed veterans RW Kelly Buchberger and C Mike Eastwood. Both were unrestricted free agents and have signed one year deals reportedly making around $600K.
Also, the team has re-signed Rico Fata, Toby Petersen, and Rob Scuderi.
Pens re-sign Tarnstrom (30-Jul-2003)
The Pens have re-signed D Dick Tarnstrom. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has reported that Tarnstrom received a 2 year, one-way deal. Tarnstrom will make $1.1M in 2003-04 and $1.4M in 2004-05.
Pens open 2003-04 season on Oct. 10th (16-Jul-2003)
The Penguins will begin the 2003-04 season against the Los Angeles Kings at Mellon Arena on Friday, October 10th. The Pens first road game will be Saturday, October 11th in Philadelphia. The full schedule is available now.
Training camp expected to open Sept. 12th (9-Jul-2003)
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that the 2003 Penguins training camp will open on Friday, September 12th.
