Pens beaten 6-2 by Sens (19-Nov-09)
The Penguins scored early and late but gave up six in between and lose 6-2 to the Senators in front of 17,039 at Scotiabank Place. Jordan Staal, off a nice Pascal Dupuis feed, gave the Pens a 1-0 1:09 into the game but Ottawa got the game's next six goals, chasing Marc-Andre Fleury from the net, before Pittsburgh got a late Evgeni Malkin power play goal in the third period. Max Talbot, playing his first game of the season, and Sergei Gonchar, out for 12 games, both returned to action.

Pens call up D Chris Lee (19-Nov-09)
The Penguins have called up defenseman Chris Lee from WBS. Lee, 29, leads all WBS defensemen with seven points (1G-6A) through 15 games, and is third overall on the club with 41 shots.

The call-up was necessary since Mark Eaton, the last man standing of the original six starting defensmen, is a game-time decision with back spasms. On a positive note, Max Talbot and Sergei Gonchar are expected to play tonight.

McKee out 2-4 weeks with infected finger... (18-Nov-09)
The injury bug continues as the official site is reporting that Jay McKee will be out 2-4 weeks with an infected finger.

On the positive front, Brooks Orpik and Sergei Gonchar were cleared for contact in today's practice. Kris Letang practiced with a red "no-contact" jersey.

Pens send Letestu back to WBS (17-Nov-09)
The Penguins have reassigned Mark Letestu back to WBS. Max Talbot appears set to return on Thursday versus Ottawa.

Penguins beat Ducks 5-2 (16-Nov-09)
The injury-depleted Penguins get goals from some unlikely sources and defeat the struggling Ducks 5-2 in front of 17,052 at Mellon Arena. Pittsburgh got the game's opening and closing goals from Matt Cooke and tallies from Bill Guerin, Jordan Staal shorthanded and Martin Skoula's first for the team. The WBS trio of defensemen (Guenin, Lovejoy and Engelland) played solidly and Engelland was named the game's number three star.

Penguins call up Pittsburgh-native Nate Guenin (16-Nov-09)
The Penguins have recalled defenseman Nate Guenin from WBS. Alex Goligoski's status is questionable for tonight's game versus the Ducks.

Pens win thriller 6-5 against Boston in OT (14-Nov-09)
Evgeni Malkin returns with a three assist night as the Penguins win a thriller 6-5 in overtime against the Bruins in front of 17,132 at Mellon Arena. Things looked bleak for Pittsburgh as Boston took their first lead of the game with two and a half minutes to go in the third period but Evgeni Malkin set up Bill Guerin for a goal with .4 seconds to go to send it to overtime. Pascal Dupuis got the game-winner after Bruin goaltender, Tim Thomas, misplayed the puck behind his net leading and Jordan Staal fed Dupuis who was alone out front and banged it home.
