This game does not feel like a one goal game. Tampa playing defense like it's a mid October game too.

I'd be happy with a loser point tonight.

Send Hunwick packing tho! (I've read that on this board)

Rutherford isn't going to sit on his hands if he thinks there's ways to improve this team. Hunwick on the 3rd pairing is the least of our worries, at least in my mind. If Mike Babcock likes Hunwick, then he's a capable defender, give him time.

What a pass by Sid and a great return pass by Jake. Wow, that was insanely good.

Murray will always get Metro or home starts in the front of B2B's.

What? He had nothing as his gap was quickly closed off by the defenders and he had zero speed. Sid made the right play.

IDK. I see what he was trying to do, but I think a nice high shot would have been a better choice. Game would be tied right now.

Letang by a mile, Geno didn't take a lazy penalty that lead to a goal.

Letang finally body checked someone.

It was Schultz.

His shift was at like two minutes at that point. The way he skated to the puck was actually really impressive, showed a lot of guts.

Did Letang shoot it out of the rink for his delay penalty? Mearse had said it hit the scoreboard, but then Letang was in the box.

He backhanded it 20 rows deep

Meh, didn't deserve that one. Not even close. Actually impressed and optimistic with the secondary players. The big guns were just abysmal. Crosby, Malkin, Phil, and Letang all had really forgettable nights.

I would rather beat the Metro and lose to the Atlantic any night of the season.

True. Sully is great at situational coaching. But I wouldn't mind trying this on back-to-backs during a West Coast trip.

Too many skaters and not enough guys actually playing.
So this is what it's like when you have only 1 legit goalie. I've been spoiled!
No offense to Niemi, but I don't think he is the answer.
