So Brown won't even get a sternly-worded letter. This league's a joke. Player Safety my ***.

My wife says that all the time, but that word... it does not mean what I think it means.

And then he attempted to go into the Kings’ dressing room.

Brown had no remorse for sure and said it maybe should have been a 2min penalty at worse. What a bozo. I guess since he's come out of like a 5 yr slump and was stripped of the "C" that now he's feeling invulnerable.

I agree, but they got rewarded tonight for basically one good period in the 2nd and just enough in the 3rd. Kings also played pretty poor tonight, which helped.

I didn't think they played poorly at all. DeSmith was lights out, Quick let in a stinker to start, and the Kings got undercut by some stupid penalties. They were buzzing around the net all night.

"Poorly" probably too strong. They were buzzing at times but also had mostly low-quality chances and made it fairly easy for DeSmith. Add in dumb penalties and Quick's opening softy and they had rather mediocre effort at home against a Pens' team who had just played the night before.

That was worse than what Cogliano got 2 games for.

That one was comically blatant and square and center on camera. That would be a perfect opportunity for the league to send the players a message. No penalty (for the slew), no injury... solid suspension anyway.

The Cogliano hit didn't produce an injury, he got suspended, which resulted in him ending his consecutive game streak.
