For those trying to keep up at home:

Crosby, out, core muscle surgery
Bjugstad, out, core muscle surgery
Dumoulin, out, ankle surgery

Schultz, out, LBI (believed to be groin) - Schultz has been skating and Sullivan said today Schultz is close to returning to practice
Rust, out, LBI day to day - I'm thinking ankle sprain, since he had nothing, then boot & crutches, but still being considered day-to-day.
Hornqvist, under evaluation for an LBI after taking a fall in practice.

Blandisi placed on waivers today
Penguins signed Stefan Noesen (was on AHL only deal in WBS) to 1 year, 2-way deal for 700K in NHL. Noesen will be reporting to NHL club. He was WBS leading scorer with 14 goals and 22 points.

Schultz is on the ice for practice this morning, in a gray no-contact jersey.

Stefan Noesen hopes to channel his inner Chris Kunitz, wearing #14.

Schultz states he likely needs a few more practices to be ready.
Sullivan says Hornqvist is out longer term with an LBI.
ZAR is down with the sickness.

Bryan Rust skated before practice.
Blandisi cleared waivers. He practiced today, and I'm assuming he is going to stay up with ZAR sick. Recchi was a 4th line FWD today.

Just random but any chance the Pens take a shot on Nick Shore who was just waived today by the Leafs?

Think divine intervention might be needed. Letang and JMFJ are gonna both be on the ice. Together. At the same time.
Might be a good idea to stay away from the GDT tonight.

Is now a good time for the "is the answer Jesus" gif from Slapshot? When Paul Newman puts in the Hanson brothers?

According to Friedman, Buffalo has interest in Galchenyuk.

Now tiops is saying GMJR is telling rival gms he wants to move Galchenyuk by mid January at the latest. Galchenyuk is someone Guerin has always liked. tiops also says a Galchenyuk for Vesey swap has been discussed. One for one.

Letang practiced today. He was paired with Marino. Johnson-Schultz pairing 2, Pettersson-Riikola pairing #3. Ruhwedel was down with the sickness.

Blandisi back up on "emergency recall". Not another injury, this crap is beyond ridiculous.

Just saw him and the WBS Pens play last night up here in Rochester. Team didn't play well and got shutout 4-0. Blandisi was with Angello most of the night, but not much to note otherwise. I think Trotman was on the ice for the first two goals and looked pretty bad. He and Warsofsky seem to be the veteran leadership there these days. I think they are dealing with a lot of injuries too.

So far, nobody in the local media knows why Blandisi was recalled. Everyone was healthy at practice yesterday. Someone else being sick is probably the most likely issue, but with no morning skate, unless the Penguins release something this afternoon, probably won't find out until Sully speaks at 5pm.
