Mark Parrish traded.....

Postby ville5 on Tue Mar 07, 2006 9:38 am

maybe. To which team? Don't know. For who? Don't know.
And Spector also calls Recchi and Malone for RJ garbage. I personally feel if Malone is not better than RJ, he's certainly not worse.

RDS.CA: reports the NY Islanders last night traded winger Mark Parrish, however, the site doesn't say which team he's been trade to.

Spector's Note: Hat tip to "Guillemin" and " Ocuri ". I'll try to follow up on this later today and hopefully we'll have more on this as the day progresses.

CLARKE DENIES BERTUZZI RUMOUR...

CAMDEN COURIER POST: Chuck Gormley reports Philadelphia Flyers GM Bob Clarke denies recent reports that have him trying to obtain Vancouver Canucks forward Todd Bertuzzi. "We haven't called Vancouver and they haven't called us," Clarke said. "We've had zero discussions with them. It ain't gonna happen." He cited Bertuzzi's salary as being too high for the Flyers to take on. Gormley also reports young Flyers Mike Richards and Jeff Carter are deemed untouchables by Clarke. In other Flyers rumours, the Pittsburgh Penguins might be willing to trade Mark Recchi and Ryan Malone to the Flyers for prospect RJ Umberger. Shane Doan of the Phoenix Coyotes might be available but he would also cost the Flyers Umberger as part of the deal.

Spector's Note: Now I know Clarke has a history of saying one thing and doing another, but seriously, this "Bertuzzi to Philly" rumour was nonsense from the beginning. Recchi and Malone or Doan for Umberger? Even more nonsense.

Parrish is working off a one year contract.

He's on pace to have a -21 +/-

He's a Bum.

Good point, except Parrish is playing on a better team and has injury problems. (Missed most of last year).

Don't misunderstand, at this point in his career, I feel Recchi's a Bum too.
