Next year- are we capable to sign Jovanovski & big score

Postby Pens4Life on Wed Mar 08, 2006 11:44 am

Salary will kill us then probably?
Only if we dump Recchi,LeClair and Roy for trade picks and cash this year..
If we sign Ed and maybe Samsonov, that would be pretty good.
Which top scorers are UFA next year,PLEASE let me now!
Next year :
Christensen - Crosby - Ouellet ; Jovanovski - Whitney
Samsonov - Malkin - Morozov ;) ; Gonchar - Orpik
Surovy - Malone - Armstrong ; Welch - Lannon
Koltsov - Talbot - Murley (Bogy) ; Scuderi

Everything hinges on Malkin with regards to next year and signings.

If he comes here, how much is it going to cost the team? Will they have to pay his current club a gross sum etc etc.

Who the hell knows the fine details of his current contract. It may cost us little. May cost us big.

With our luck as of late, the Malkin process is going to be salt in a cut like pain. :x

Jovo is the most overrated player in the league.

apparently we were cut a big break by the NHL, http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/columnist/woodlief/2006-01-26-red-line_x.htm

malkin could have been thrown back into the '07 draft[/url]

Pens4Life, we already tried that this year. We got the 40 goal guy, he retired. We got the stud defenseman, and he gets booed every shift.
