Meyer has been a pleasant suprise for the Flyers. Goot skater with a good shot. Seems to have good hockey senes too. Has offensive skills.

I would do it too.

I wouldn't even have to think about that deal. Clarke might get flogged, but who cares.

If that's true, that's HUGE. Especially since Recchi will probably be back in the Burgh next season. Can't see many GM's picking up his $2.2 mil. option. Though it is Clarke......

Ignore it. Flyernation said in another topic that Ilkka is a buffoon and not to be trusted.

Can anyone think objectively? No way in hell would the Flyers make this deal.

Don't think that the Flyers will be willing to part with 2 players of their current roster when they are trying to make a playoff push. Umberger and Meyer have each played 50+ games for the Flyers. If Recchi goes, it will be for non-roster prospects and/or draft picks.

He will waive the clause if he wants to. The Pens have to approach him before the trade can be finalized in order to gain his approval.

Recchi was quoted as saying something to the effect of "if it's a good deal that would help the team, I would consider it." He's also said something about getting a shot at another ring.

That makes it sounds like he'd be open to any legit contender.

The price just got a wee bit higher now that Parrish is off the market. :)
Hey, I hit quote again and there's no gray box.

What's really odd is that when I quote your post, the post you quoted is set off in a box.

I think you should file a grievance with the Gorilla.
