My first thought was EC, but this one makes more sense.
Who else fits the description besides Ouelette? I can only think of Talbot, and I seriously doubt the Pens would deal him right now.

I don't particularly like the idea of trading Christensen for a rental. That's something I think we'd regret. We'll see, though. Shero's earned my trust, so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

A young roster player from Mck's report on TSN.
$10 says Erik Christensen.
Thorburn maybe?
Good call.

Much preferred to EC!
I'd even do Thorburn and a 2nd. Thorburn would get some ice time in Florida as well, there's just not a spot for him. And I would also say he still has some potential.

Eklund and Watters just said that they don't think that Roberts will OK the deal to Pittsburgh

Obviously you have never watched Roberts play in the playoffs.
But he's not played in the playoffs for nearly 3 years now.

That doesn't matter this board rates players like it's 1999...or in Roberts' case, 1993...

Using the Eklund formula, if he says it's not going to happen, it's going to happen. Welcome to Pittsburgh, GR.

Eklund is on am640 and said pittsburgh is the team but dosent think Roberts will wave his no trade to go to pitts.

I don't think Roberts will play on a line with Crosby, he isn't on that level. He has not scored 30 goals in 13 years.

With all the talk about Bryan Smolinski, dont be surprised if its Dominic Moore for Gary Roberts!

Roberts wants to be close to his daughter in Toronto or where-ever...Buffalo is a lot closer than Pittsburgh, don't waive your NTC Roberts, family first, family first!

He will come. His options:
Stay in Florida and golf in a month or play on Sid's LW. Tough decision there.

Spector says Roberts would be crazy to pass up a trade to the Pens.

I think it depends on how the rest of the trades pan out. If Malone/EC are still here, if Ouellet is still here, etc. Roberts could very well end up playing with Talbot and Armstrong on the 3rd line.

We sure do.
If you think of a better available player out there to fill the need of an experienced playoff vet that we don't have to give the farm away for then please offer a suggestion.
