Has CP announced a press conference yet?

Postby borohcky9 on Thu Mar 09, 2006 5:13 pm

Kinda weird that the site still doesnt have the trades listed, and no mention of a press conference.

1, CP is not done!

2, I'd be thrilled to play hockey with Sid but I don't know that
players are thrilled to be coming to Pittsburgh. :P

He doesn't have the guts to face even the lapdog Pittsburgh media after this disaster of a day.

Dude, what the hell are you talking about?

A big bunch of nothing happened on this day. Anyone that was expecting some big move to happen today was an idiot.

Today didn't ruin the season at all. It didnt do much of anything, which is to be expected. The groundwork for this season has already been laid.

Yes, it has, by him. And he just made it worse, not only for this year, but next as well (by not dumping LeClair).

Big deal. At least Leclair can still pot some goals. There's no point in just dumping him for absolutely nothing.

I agree that the groundwork was laid by Patrick and that he should be blamed for that, but you (among others) are making way too big of a deal out of this trade deadline. Honesly, what did you expect?

Oh yes there is. It's called dumping a $1.5 mil cap hit for next year, as well as dumping a guy who seems miserable here.

Maybe no one would take the contract.

I'll ask it again, what did you seriously expect to happen?

It's not as if not trading LeClair now means he can't be moved in the offseason. He's on pace for about 20 goals. He's still effective on the PP. That's hardly so terrible that nobody will be interested in him this summer if he hates it here that much.

LeClair maybe miserable but we still need somebody to score goals. With Recchi gone LeClair is now the 2nd or 3rd highest goal scorer on team not to mention our power play has been decent and his butt in front of the net has alot to do with that.

If anybody can stand in front of the net then why does nobody else on this team do it? As far as him scoring cheap goals I guess he would be expendable on a team with all the snipers we have.

The only reason CP should call a presser is to announce that he is the worst GM in National Hockey League history.
