I watched part of that game and Rex was pretty good. I think he's playing on the third line, though.

According to this link, he played with Matt Cullen and Ray Whitney most of the time and appeared to get time on the PP as part of a unit that used a forward at the point.

How glad do you think he is to go form the worst team in hockey to the best,despite his statements before about wanting to stay?

I'm sure he's excited, given that this might be his last shot at the cup. He gave CP a list of places he'd be willing to go, and presumably ended up at one of them.

That doesn't mean he won't be back though. The way the contract is structured, and with the young talent they'll need to pay soon, Carolina probably won't resign Recchi, leaving him free to come back.

Beech got LEVELED in his first game back with the Caps. Solid check along the boards and he took a while to get up. They didn't stop play but he really got knocked!
