Should there be a Diving award at seasons end?

Postby NIN on Fri Mar 17, 2006 9:05 pm

I absolutely think there should be! It is an unsung art and some players are trully gifted at it. I think Forsberg and Lemieux are the two most gifted at it so far (not coincidentally, both are considered two of the best EVER at the game of hockey)

Also there is nothing funnier then a bad dive attempt and players who get called for it. There inlies the art of it all, embelish without embaress. Refferees go by reputation because the action moves so fast but the best usually get to draw one here and there. Moving a guys stick up into your face to get a power play should be rewarded at the end of the season!

Conn Smythe

Art Ross

and now the FLOPPA!!!

I rule! Who is with me here!!

I think you are taking this position so you can have an arguement over it. :P

You can draw a penalty without diving.

I think you two can be found guilty of plain and simple post-padding in your sick and twisted quest to be the first to 1000 posts.

I'm not that far behind! But, I do need expatriot to go on vacation for a while so I can leap-frog him! Every time I get close to him, he goes on a friggin posting frenzy. :(

I always like the idea of pointing out both the best and the worst... If a player gets mad that he wins the "Biggest Whiner" or "Best diver"... then he shouldn't have done it all year.

I'd vote for it.
