Which our players are UFA after 05/06 season?

Postby Pens4Life on Sat Mar 18, 2006 8:43 am

Are Malone and Orpik UFA or restricted free agents....? And what about other players, who also is free agent?
And which big scorers are UFA after the season, that we might get and which big name D-mans are free to get? ANY NAMES COME TO MIND ????

So LeClair's an UFA according to that. Great. What happened to the other year remaining on his contract :?:

Afinogenov, Salei, Gauthier, Hedberg and Sillinger sounds good to me. :P
Although we'll get Meloche, Verot, and Zenon.

I'm not sure either way. But I remember reading teams were shying away from Johnny Vermont at the deadline because of the year remaining on his contract. :?

All CP (or the new guy) has to worry about is signing Fluery and bringing over Malkin. The Malkin contract is an automatic easy one but I am not sure what FLeury is in line to make. All I know is that there are 5 teams that would give up a couple of 2nd rounders for MAF by signing him to 2.5 million. CP better match any offer.

Did anyone notice that every player the Pens acquired at the deadline is on that FA list (though most are restricted group II)?

Here's what I found:

This article (from August) says he signed for $2.1 million this season, $1.5 million next year and a $1.8 million cap average. No mention of an option.

This one, from January, says he has one year, with a salary of $1.5 million, left on his contract. Agin, no mention of an option.
