I remember before the season started, people were arguing about the effectiveness of Leclair and someone bet that he wouldn't score 15 or 20 goals this season. I can't remember who it was. But Leclair now has 16 and some games left.
Was the bet ever made? Who wants to admit it was them?

I remember that. I think that Flyers fan that posts on here was involved.
I honestly thought he would be good for at least 12-15 goals. These last few weeks he has been on fire. Again,if only he played this well at the beginning of the season. As I write this he has a good shot at 20 goals. Not bad at all.
I'm actually suprised at how well he's been playing since the trade deadline. I thought for sure he'd be tanking the rest of the way, basically just going through the the motions. I'm even more suprised after reading his comments in today's paper. I bet he retires or requests a trade in the off-season.

I remember that bet. It was a Flyers fan, though I don't think it was FlyerNation. Wasn't the deal 25 goals?

I figured he'd be good for about 20 goals this year. That's still possible the way things are going right now. Even so, had the team lived up to expectations he would be easily over 20 goals already.

I honestly think that because a lot of our players didn't play competitively during the lock out is the reason it's taking so long for them to get rolling, like Malone or Leclair. Leclair has a very basic game that he will always be able to do. I love having him on the Pens, he seems like a very soft spoken, modest player that isn't looking to take over the locker room like Recchi may have been. And what's best, the team honestly LOOKS like they love him, while I never really got that feeling with Recchi.
