Have they said the main reason for this?

Steigy and Bourque were saying it wasn't the arena even though that's the first thing we'd blame due to the Mellon arena's age?

The power company's feed was interrupted, so they switched over to another source. It takes 15 minutes for the lights to come back up. A few minutes later the main feed was restored and it overloaded the system. AFAIK, they are back on the main feed now.

Mike Lange said a transformer blew in the arena.

There was actually a small fire in the arena too, from an electrical panel.

"Two Power Failures in one game?"

Given the Pens poor performance... I'd say there were three 'power failures' :-)

Is it me or are the Leaf fans the most obnoxious fans. Even more obnoxious than the Flyers fans.

I remember one game I went to where a Leaf fan had a Maple Leaf flag a couple rows down. He would wave it anytime the Leafs had a good play. A couple fans were continously trying to grab it from him, and finally they got into it with him.

The ushers finally kicked the Leafs fan out after a Pens fan threw a beer on him.

Why don't you have Summer Sanders doing cover when the board is down like FSN did last night?

This was the first time I ever saw them play the Leafs live. Wow, I have never been so annoyed in my life. I was sitting next to a bunch of these eggheads. I really would have liked to punch one of them.

A buddy of mine said something very interesting. The leafs fans are like Steeler fans. My buddy went to the Cincy and Indy playoff games and said the atmosphere was very similar. Of course this was just a regular season game. In any case, they may surpass Philly as my most hated team. [/quote]

Why was it that 29 arenas had "Thank You Fans" on the ice while Toronto had "Thank You Leafs Fans" on the ice? Talk about a dickwad move!

leaf fans are a lot like "steeler nation."
at least flyer fans do not act like only they have the true hockey knowledge.

Have to say the leaf fans were as verbally nasty to their
own players as they were to penguin players.

~couple from hell~ woman with flyer jersey
and her friend wearing a leaf jersey. :P

Yeah, Leafs fans are the worst. Back at the game in December I got into it with a Leafs fan after their overtime win. Right after the winning goal this guy just started mouthing off about Pittsburgh, blah, blah, blah...so I told him to shut the f*** up because Toronto hasn't won a cup in 39 years.
