Why is the Subway Sandwich of the game ALWAYS against the Pens??? Welch had a handful of great hits and they pick an Islander hit!

The only way the Pens will ever get rid of Leclair is to send him to WBS then lose him on recall waivers. He's still a good player below the face off circles but everywhere else on the ice he's not.

Crosby is creating those good scoring chances but Hilbert is standing there with a thumb up his ass instead of cycling or getting open in front.

Hilbert is a little ***** who hates the fron t of the net. Complain about that, not Crosby. **** morons.

Rita should be playing with The Crosby and The Armstrong.

What do you think of the job Hilbert's doing with them tonight?

Typical, the officials pocket the whistles for most of the third period, then make a call against the Pens late in the period.

Ziggy, how is Melichar playing tonight? We need to hear some optimism!

Anyone else forget Armstrong is a rookie? The guy never panics and doesn't make those "rookie mistakes".

I haven't been looking for him, and I haven't noticed him.
just the way I like it.

That was a notable backcheck a moment ago. He has been solid but Scuds has been greater.

We are very lucky. Too many bad giveaways up the boards.

Absolutely. He's going to be a great one.
One of those rare tough, pesky players with a nose for the net and a decent set of hands.

Dare we say Pat Verbeek?

I'm thinking more like Adam Graves.

HA. We are going to have a VERY crowded 3rd line someday.

Adam Graves is nice. Just don't remember him having a bad mean streak. I guess I remember Verbeek better since he played in Dallas. :)

i was thinking Tikkanen or Mellanby.

boy oh boy, sid and army team up again -- Colby drives to the net and Sid hammers it home!

Armstrong might be one of those guys who plays with Crosby for the next 10-15 years because they have great chemistry, not necessarily because he is the best player for the position. If he can score 25 goals with about 30-40 assists, that would be plenty good.

My thoughts are that Armstrong will gradually be demoted down to the 3rd line but he can always jump up a line to spark it or fill in for an injury. Nothing against Army cause I think he is great, I just don't think your a Cup contender if he is being relied on for 30 goals a season. I hope im wrong but the lack of breakaway speed makes him a tremendous 3rd liner in my mind.

Of course, it might be some time before we find 4 wingers that are better, but here is to hope.

25 goals with 30-40 assists? How is Sid supposed to shatter Gretzky's records with those modest numbers by his linemate?!

Army could certainly be the "fetch the puck and get it to Sid" guy on the top line, but I'd rather see two good finishers play with him. Army just doesn't have the hands for it IMO.
