Ya Welch had a bonehead move, but it was an accident. These things happen.

But what did he do? Came out a little later and scored a goal. That's how you make up for it.

Absolutely. You have to like what you see with Welch's game. How about that play where he comes back, dives to stop a shot, then gets up and pokes the puck away? That was tremendous. He is getting that big shot on net and I love how he uses his hands when he hits, something he was doing all game.

Can he fight?

If he can, I doubt he has much practice. There's not a lot of fighting in college hockey.
