Theme Song

Postby NittanyPensFan04 on Tue Mar 28, 2006 1:22 pm

I am having trouble finding the theme song that the Penguins come out to. The one that sounds like the song from the cup years. I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone have a link for that song? Thanks

I downloaded it from Bear Share years ago.
Its like Napster only free. And illegal. Of course I downloaded it long before the Metallica controversy.

Someone posted a link to the original boys of winter theme awhile back, but i think it was before we switched to this format... hopefully someone still has the link to it.

I tried the samething with Kazaa a couple of years back and ended up with a Mike Lange clip calling a goal by Mario Lemieux from what I think was the 90 All Star Game at the Arena, and some other "sports anthem"-style song which wasn't Pens related at all.

Search at your own risk! A  lso, Hail to Pitt.

I have the old version, but nobody can seem to find the new version they use online. Guess the Pens marketing department has it locked up in a vault or something. 8)

I had it on cassette years back. The song plays in full at the end of the "One from the Heart' VHS, maybe "Against The Odds" too. I recorded it from that. I should have a second this weekend to record it to the computer and post.

Back in December, I posted the original version and a version that I made based off of what I remembered from the old KDKA/KBL broadcasts. Yea, it's MIDI, but so is the crap one they're using now.

Wow.

Listening to that just took me back almost 15 years!

Too cool! Did the pens comssion someone to produce this "back in the day"? Or did they license it from another source? Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Can anybody find the Jagr Song? I think I can remember the lyrics...."He came to this counrty.....didn't speak the language.....he used is fat ass to fend off defenders!!!.....then he won the Stanley Cup.....twice......won some Art Ross trophys!!!....got ripped off for the MVP once......couldnt speak the language!!!!...still kinda hard to understand.......he got traded!!!......twice....."

Yeah. That's all the proof I need that Hell exists.
