When's the next Dungeons and Dragons club meeting?

:P

J/K.... I've learned you don't have to be a nerd to enjoy LOTR.

Oh, and everybody knows, Cairns isn't Treebeard.

From another classic cinematic piece, Cairns = O'Doyle (Billy Madison)

And how is Gonchar Gollum? He's never owned the Cup.

Unless you meant he is gollum in that he has a giant, unhumanly, bulbous mellon head. In which case, I concur.

Recchi is Boromir, since Boromir turned on Frodo when the going got tough.

Armstrong is Legolas, for his smarts on the ice. He also looks like an elf.

Leclair is Gimli. Leclair looks like he could swing an axe.

Therein is Theoden, kingly but doomed to fall before Frodo finishes his mission.

Gonchar is Peregrin Took, the foolhardy hobbit who constantly screws up. He dropped the skeleton into the well at Moria, summoning the Ottawa Senators, I mean Orks.

Hey pal! I got a 20 sided die and I know how to use it!!

Gonchar is a different player almost every game. Hence the skitzophrenic personality disporder he shares with Gollum. Plus I heard he likes sushi.

Well, it's on stage now.

And you guys want to bring it to 'Ice' like Disney?

:-) :-) :-)

I guess it's another revenue generating event for the new Arena! :-)

Does all this make the Capitals the Oroki (sp?), the larger cross-breed Orks that were supposed to be something special but that the heros of the movie, even the Hobbits, tended to slice through like a hot knife through butter?

Good one! I was way off calling him Sauromon. How about we make Greg Malone Sauromon because he is Patricks "puppet". :D

Actually, I was going to say the Flyers would be logical choices as the Urukai because they were supposed to be impervious to pain. But then I figured...Lindros (back in the day), Forsberg...not exactly impervious to pain.

So I'm going to say the Senators are the Urukai because they're supposed to be this intimidating, dominant force that overruns all the outmanned little people and wins some battles but in the end, they never win the war.

My question...who's the Mouth of Sauron???

Image

There's a joke here about Fleury's teeth that I'm going to let go. But I'm going to say Odelein, mostly because the Mouth of Sauron can't see much under that helmet, and that's certainly the way Odelein plays sometimes.

Shouldn't Mario be Bilbo? Frodo's mentor, role-model, hero, etc., and the person that Bilbo passed the Precious to?

you already decreed him a hobbit, so Bogey could be Bilbo. even though he's got a crappy backstory. he just oozes Hobbit.
