Fleury's Playoff Struggles Continue

Postby Mad City Mike on Thu Mar 30, 2006 10:49 am

This guy just stinks under playoff pressure. He proved it again last night. Because he had been playing so well recently and our other goalies were struggling, I decided to play Fleury in the first round of our fantasy playoffs this week. What does he do? How does 4 goals against on 14 shots strike you? It is quite obvious that he just isn't a money goalie.

Really he couldn't even stop Welch's shot the other night, a guy fresh from the AHL, THE AHL

The Penguins are not in the playoffs. I think. Of course I could be wrong on that point.

noone thinks that the thought of playing all those consecutive games might have been a reason for his poor performance last nite? he showed no effort, his angles were way off and he almost looked releived whenever he got pulled.

for a young goalie to play all those games in a row like that, and take the beating of shots per game like he does. ill allow him to have an off nite here or there.

it isnt like our steller defenseman helped him out much.

on the 3rd goal. i dont know what Gonchar was doing. it looked like he was out of position(who woulda thunk it) and in a last ditch effort put his stick out.

but again, what else can we expect?

That's what you get when you start a rookie in your playoffs. I've got Turco and Hasek. :D
