Elias will be a Devil for life

and Morozov? Why, so we can have two guys in Morozov and Koltsov go 38 games without a goal?

No thanks.

I imagine Lou will do everything in his power to keep Elias but they were up against the cap this year. Plus they still will have Mogilny and probably Malakhov's salary next season. Will they be able to afford Elias?

He's never been a real big + player, even on the Cup champs. I like him, but I'd prefer a guy that is more defense-first than Kubina.

You must not watch a lot of Tampa Bay games.

Uh, I think you ought to tune in a little more. He was one season as a plus in his entire career. He is -95 over that time.

He is good, and has upside, but he is not a true defensive defenseman.

Mitchell - +32 for his career
McKee - +43
Pothier - +32

Know what Kubina has that none of those other players do? Also, the fact that you think Brian Pothier is better than Pavel Kubina in any aspect of the game is nothing short of laughable. Kubina is the best defenseman on the market after Lidstrom and Chara which are both going back to their respected clubs anyway. He's even better than Wade Redden IMO. Upside? what are you talking about?
