I like the music they played back in the early 80's for the Pens on their telecasts, when they were only on twenty games a year. Anybody have that theme music? I remember Greg Millen in the pipes as if it were yesterday, and Ramblin Rick kehoe, Carlyle, Stackhouse, Bullard, Boutette and Doug Shedden.

A year and a half after I uploaded it, that link has resurfaced three times on this board.
Kicksave: That's not the original. I wrote that one on my keyboard in 2005. The opening is a reflection on the bankruptcy/lockout years.

Neither is that...the really original version had a single trumpet blaring...mid 1980's about when Mario came along.
Still my favorite version to this day is the first....

I have looked for the REAL original theme for years.
It shows up on this board now and again, sometimes claiming to be original, but ends up being just another 'version'.
Is the true original ... truly unavailable?
Didn't the theme initially show up circa 1981?
