Final home game - who's going?

Postby Jan on Fri Mar 31, 2006 10:23 am

I was wondering what to expect...how do they award the jerseys? Are there other prizes? And what LGPers are going...I'll be there with the three teen eating machines.

Looks like there won't be a big ceremony for Lemieux's re-retirement.

Good point EPP, maybe I'll smuggle candy in my purse. And none of them better even think about reaching for my nachos.

A ceremony for 66 never even crossed my mind...that would have been a bonus.

I said it from the beginning, they will do that opening night next season. It's the right time. That is, providing he doesn't un-retire once again! :)

They'll select random tickets and come and notify the people during period intermissions. Keep your ticket stubs through the whole game, you'll need them to verify that you're supposed to be in that particular seat. Then they go down after the game and the players give their jerseys to the fans.

They're also giving away a 2 year car lease this year, among other random prizes during the game, I'm assuming. In your case, hopefully nachos for the teenagers.

Consider this an official contract.....I'll give $50 to whoever gets Endicott's jersey if they refuse to put it on and kick him in the shins.

last year they did scratchers and whatever was on the scratcher you won, I don't know if the jerseys were part of that of if it was how Vaniesbrouk said because i didn't win one.

They also announce the team awards which is fun.

Yeah, I think the scratch off tickets were just for other prizes, because they had to be sure that someone actually won each of the jerseys and the people understood when and where to come down.

that scenario is funny. but you have to
know eric cairns would come to the rescue. I have all the confidence
I'm winning Sidney's jersey. 8) Actually Sid needs to wear
20 or more jerseys for that game.

On the scratch off tickets I won an autograph K Koltsov puck. I gave it to
my nephew.

I won a Steve McKenna Puck. I'd have killed for a Koltsov. LOL

I won an MTO and I didn't even cash it in to get my coupon.
