Quick MS Excel number crunch and sort, using stats posted on ESPN's website current through last night. Guess where our hero Endicott is:

Noah Welch, D 1.70
Sidney Crosby, C 1.21
Zigmund Palffy, RW 1.04
Andy Hilbert, C (28 Chi) 0.96
Michel Ouellet, RW 0.96
John LeClair, LW 0.88
Mario Lemieux, C 0.87
Mark Recchi, RW (15 Car) 0.85
Colby Armstrong, RW 0.83
Tomas Surovy, LW 0.74
Ric Jackman, D (49 Fla) 0.62
Ryan Malone, LW 0.62
Lasse Pirjeta, LW 0.61
Sergei Gonchar, D 0.59
Erik Christensen, C 0.55
Jani Rita, RW (21 Edm) 0.55
Eric Boguniecki, RW (9 StL) 0.54
Ryan Whitney, D 0.42
Dick Tarnstrom, D (18 Edm) 0.36
Andre Roy, RW 0.34
Maxime Talbot, C 0.30
Matt Murley, LW 0.26
Cory Cross, D (10 Det, 34 Edm) 0.25
Ryan VandenBussche, RW 0.23
Josef Melichar, D 0.23
Konstantin Koltsov, LW 0.23
Steve Poapst, D (34 StL) 0.22
Eric Cairns, D (21 Fla) 0.18
Matt Hussey, C 0.15
Brooks Orpik, D 0.15
Shane Endicott, C 0.08
Robert Scuderi, D 0.06
Lyle Odelein, D 0.05
Rico Fata, LW (15 Was, 6 Atl) 0.00
Guillaume Lefebvre, LW 0.00
Alain Nasreddine, D 0.00
Niklas Nordgren, LW (43 Car) 0.00

Obviously it isn't a perfect statistic, because it depends upon linemates and when people are put in, among other things... but it should give a rough measure of offensive production better than just points per game for players who aren't getting tons of ice time. How would they do if they logged first-line minutes?
