Why the NHL would move a team back to a failed, oversaturated (Boston, NYI, NYR, NJD) market like Hartford is beyond me...

The NHL wouldn't be moving anything.

If the new owners choose, they could move the team to Kalamazoo.

I believe the team could play in the Hartford Civic Center until a new arena is built. It has been done. The Hurricanes played in Greensboro while they waited for the RBC Center (to terrible crowds, I might add).

Oversaturated? Look at where American NHL players are from. Aside from Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin, that area is the heart of hockey in our country.

Right, except the NHL would have to approve of any franchise sale and relocation, which was my point. Why they would permit a team to be relocated to a failed market with four teams within a relatively short driving distance is, again, beyond me...

They did it with the Colorado Rockies to NJ Devils in 1982 !

I'm not saying it's going to happen... but these guys don't *always* make the best decisions.
