Hopefully he can pull it off and get to 40/100...

Nice to see him get the goal and the assist against a tough opponent on the road.

He'll get it done. Two games against the Isles = at least 5 pts.

I'm actually really surprised that he hasn't registered a hat trick yet. :?

He got two points tonight so he's getting closer. For the hat trick, you know how hard that is to do today. I think only like maybe 6 players in the nhl had a hat trick this year out of 700 players. do the math !

And Cheechoo still has one more chance this year to torture the Kings; he has two HTs against them this year already, and was about 6 inches from getting another one last week.

In the future, though, Crosby won't need a guy like Thornton to help him put up sick numbers. Hell, he'll be that guy. I'm already anxious to see what he can do next season with a year of experience under his belt and some time to rest.

Do it Sid! I'd love to see that. Of course, I can already rub his season in a couple of friend's faces, but him reaching 100 would be even better =)

Alexei Kovalev's 00/01 season of 5 or 6 hat tricks was amazing.
Kovy's year with r lang & marty straka ~ one of my all-time favorite
line combos. They were magic.
