Bill Toland actually jumped a notch in my book based on this e-mail he sent to me. At least it sounds like he has a sense of humor.

You all have written to me, at one time or another, about casinos, slots, the Pens, etc., either to tell me you liked a story, or (more likely) to tell me what an unbelievable jerk I am, so I assume you have an interest in the subject ...

If so, I urge you to check out the P-G's new Casino Journal, which we hope will be a daily clearinghouse of all the slots- and gambling-related stories from across the state, and many from outside the state.

If you like it, I hope you'll pass it on to your friends, and they'll pass it on to their friends, and so on, until I become filthy rich, at which point I'll buy each of you a nice shiny car. At least, that's my plan.

You can find it here:

There should be another update around the noontime lunch hour.

Thanks, and feel free to keep busting my chops when you think I've screwed up -

Bill Toland

Well, he forgot the bit about mailing him a dollar and then adding your name to the bottom of the list.

Quit kidding... this was really a quote from a secret federal wiretap the last time Ratner meet with Rendell, right? :-) :-) :-)
