How many points will Crosby finish with?

Postby Mountaineer on Fri Apr 14, 2006 2:11 pm

I say he gets eight more: 3 goals and 5 assists for a total of 105 points. Not bad for a whining, diving, foul-mouthed 18 year-old, wouldn't you say?

I see him getting about 50 points... 20 goals and 30 assists... oops...

What an impressive year. I'm ready to eat a big helping of crow with all my predictions. I believe I had him at 75 points in my pre season predicitions. I never imagined the league would open up as much as it did and that either Crosby or The Chicken would be pushing a 100. I admit I look foolish with the Carter would be as good as him comparison. In all fairness Carter had a rough start with his mono but still even if healthy I wouldn't see him more than a 60 point guy this year. Crosby is that freaking good.

I've realized though many of you guys do more whining about Crosby's whining than the fans originally called him out. It seems you guys can't let the whining/diving stigma go not other fans. Every post there's a comment on it. I actually thought that past him by mid season except here where it's beaten to death day after day. it just kills you guys he's not that likeable a player by opposing fans or non canadiens.

103, I don't think he can pass Hawerchuk. Although, with the way he's dominated the Isles recently, I wouldn't be suprised if he did.

What's amazed me as this year has progressed is how well he has withstood wear and tear. His legs are very strong, last night he was shoving the Rag's around like it was nothing. I specifically remember him chasing down a loose puck and manhandling Ozolinsh off of it, and later Prucha tried to lay him out and ended up looking like a fool.

You take someone with that much talent holding the puck and add it to a strong base with great patience and you realize how deadly he really is.

I really can't wait until next year. With or without Malkin, Crosby's success will continue and reach higher levels. Hard to believe, judging by what we've seen of him already.

He'll have one more breakout game vs. the Islanders. Hattrick !

He'll have 2 more assists in the other 2 games combined.

Finish with 104 points.
