Postby conforto45 on Mon Apr 17, 2006 1:00 pm

Memorable moments have been few and far between this season...

Sid scoring on a breakaway, in OT against Philly.

(which was one of three Pens games I attended this season)...

Montreal game...I was there

2 reasons

Sid's sick leg pump to backhand shootout winner

and Mario's last goal as a professional

~ a potpurri of them:

first time I saw Sidney or anyone, use his feet as nimbly as one uses
fingers/hand.
against the flyers- for 7 mins of PK it was total play-off atmosphere.
toronto game, damn to hades chad kilger for that penalty shot.
OT against montreal- I've seen Ovechkin and saturday they showed
a clip of teemu & he does the high kick too.
every home against Ovechkin, Sid said it didn't matter, but got the
best of AO on scoresheet.
Mario waving...looking too unhealthy from his box.
verbally sparing with the 2 drunk fans from Calgary. :P
The signs from the balconies!

~best moment could & should happen tonight.

worst: all games against Ottawa & that Wild game.

You don't win the car... you win a 2 yr lease!

Montreal @ Pittsburgh
Crosby only one to score in Shootout!

Really no comparison.

1. Sid's two goals on two consecutive shifts against Philly.

2. First game against Boston. The anticipation was unreal!

3. That insane spin pass/assist that Sid made against Washington.

4. All of the Ovechkin/Sid games.

5. The first time I saw that Malkin video on the Jumbotron.

6. The joy of watching the Edmonton and Ottawa teams skate.

7. Recchi starting a little somethin somethin with Chara.

1) Sid and Mario putting on a show in the home opener.
2) The first game against Philly in which the Pens came back from a 5-1 defecit, capped off by Talbot's center ice goal. Not to mention "The Save."
3) Montreal Shootout.
4) Sid beating Philly in OT after getting his teeth knocked out.
5) Sid putting on a show in his first meeting with Ovechkin.
6) 2-0 shutout against the Flyers in which the Pens kill a seven minute penalty.

For such a bad season, there were a lot of memorable moments, especially against Philly.

from the games i went to..
8-1 romp over the Caps
saying farewell to Mario at that same game :(
2-0 shutout over the Flyers
whitney scoring the tying goal against the lighting in the last 30 seconds of the game (even though we ended up losing)
sid's winning overtime goal against the isles

i sadly wasn't at the montreal game :( i missed a lot of games at the beginning of the year.

the 7 minute kill and the electricity in the stands during it was topped only by the New Years Eve game, where the Pens would not be denied in OT, even after LeClair had one taken away, and Crosby was out to make it so - and did.

Oddly enough, that marked 2 of the 4 games in the Burgh we made it to, the others being the Mario DVD night and the Nov 12 rangers game. Not bad, I guess, we actually made it to 20% of the games we had tickets for...

My favorite Penguin memory is Crosby's goal against the Flyers in Philly in their last matchup of the season since it was the first Crosby goal I got to see in person.

Tonight.

Atmosphere was FAN-tastic.

Cheesy pun completely intentional.

Wow. Two months ago, going to a game was a chore. Now I'm sad that I won't get to watch that group in person for another 6 months.

Being at Sid's shootout against Montreal...and although I did not think of it then, being there in person to see Mario's last goal ever. Oh yeah, and being there to see Sid's first goal and his 100th point.

The OT winner against Philly was awesome because I hate the Flyers so much.

But I was there tonight, at the Montreal shootout game, and for his first goal ever, and those are memories I won't forget.

This is still my favorite... Sid came back from having dental surgery performed by Dr. Hatcher to stun the Philly crowd with the OT winner... can't get a much better FU than that.

That one was real awesome because he did that right down at the end I was sitting. Only downside is that they blew the lead.
