Speaking of bad Penguin write-ups this morning...

Postby FLPensFan on Fri Apr 21, 2006 9:08 am

OK, so it's not necessarily a bad write-up, but, for some reason, I have a strong suspicion that Mr. Dave Molinari did not actually write this article:

Seems like this was written by a high-school journalism student, where every person in the artilce is his elder.

Mr. Sawyer declined to establish a time frame for hiring Mr. Patrick's replacement...

Still, Mr. Brisson, a longtime friend of the team's primary owner....

Mr. Patrick, who always has preferred to keep a low profile, could not be reached for comment.

"There's a lot of pressure to win, pressure to perform," Mr. Olczyk said.

Mr. Patrick replaced Tony Esposito as general manager and Gene Ubriaco as coach Dec. 5, 1989.

...and the addition of Mr. Francis and Mr. Samuelsson was hailed as the move that made it possible.

He had a long run there and did a lot of good things," Mr. Francis said.

I read that and thought that they are trying to be come a respectable paper like the New York Times used to be. Give it up, PG, you are nothing but a fish wrap, and you will remain so as long as you employ writers like Molinari.

For the last time...when the article is going to be published in a larger newspaper this format is used. I am sure that this article is being published in a paper like USA TODAY or The New York Times. Molinari was probably alerted by the larger paper and asked to write in their format.
