Before this, I didn't like Smizik. Now, I despise him.

I think he does bring up a good point. If we take off our black and gold colored glasses, Barden's plan doesn't look that bad, and even Harrah's plan, though not as good as ISC isn't half bad as you would be lead to believe on this board.

As a Pens fan however, I don't care if Hitler headed Isle of Capri, just so long as the Pens stay here. Pens fan or not though, Isle of Capri has the best plan and they better **** win. We'll see how it plays out.

C'mon man!! I'm a gambler, I've been to all kinds of casinos, and all kinds of cities which have casino's. The revenue projections are total B.S. People will go to the Hill just as much if not more than any other place. They pack all the joints in West Virginia, why wouldn't they pack the Hill. Like I said in my letter to the PG. The IOC casino will generate more revenue because it's the plan that the public wants first and foremost, and 2 because it's the best locale. So after that, all there is to look at is the givebacks, and IOC wins hands down. In the begining i may have bought into the fact that i was supporting IOC just because of what there doing for my Pens. But after the smoke is clearing, IOC simply is by a mile THE BEST PLAN FOR THE CITY. I truly and deeply believe that. And if Bozo still has questions, he is a complete and utter idiot. I personally think that just like the Three Stooges, he is way too proud to turn back now. He couldn't be on the the same side as Mark Madden could he? He would show weakness if he did that. It's all about pride now.

Let me say this: if Harrah's thinks that their plan is competitive with the other two on the merits, then why are they claiming that their slots shed will draw in millions of tourists who will spend WAY more per machine than the industry standard, and who will all apparently meet somewhere out of town and drive 15 to a car to the casino in order to minimize traffic? Why argue that your largest community benefit is in creating new property taxes when you know that the politicians want to drastically reduce or even eliminate property taxes with the casino tax revenue? In short, why waste time and energy pissing in everybody's ear if your plan could stand on its merits without all the distortions and lies? Is it just SOP for Harrah's to lie every time they bid for a new slots license?
