Crosby wears an A for Canada!

Postby Shinoix on Sat May 06, 2006 4:12 pm

As per tsn.ca

Canada will use two sets of alternate captains. The first pair is defenceman Stephane Robidas and Mike Richards. The second set is Kyle Calder and Crosby.

I guess Therrien isn't the only crazy one ;)

Wonder what the people who said Crosby didn't deserve the Penguins "A" will say about this.

I don't care if he's 18 years old and people say he's to young to be a alternate captain. You don't need experience to get respect in the dressing room, you need a natural leader and crosby is one of them. His teamates respect him for his presents on and off the ice and the way he handles himself. I'm pround that the coaching staff saw what coach Therrien saw of Crosby. But it's probably only for a game, when Shanahan comes next game, he's going to be the captain and two alternate captain will be chosen, not four.

Just out of the subjetct, Malkin had 1 goal and 3 assists on his tournament debute. Bravo
