Canada vs. Norway - Crosby update

Postby Shinoix on Sun May 07, 2006 1:53 pm

3-0 Canada after one.

Crosby sets up first two goal in Crosby-like fashion. On the second goal he created a turnover behind the net and fet a quick pass out front to Boyes.

On the first goal he carried the puck in and created time and space then nailed a pass cross ice to Bergeron for a goal.

We MUST get Malkin over next year..it will be scary.

Crosby scores a great breakaway type goal with two defenders on him from behind.

1 G 2 A, midway through the second. I expect his icetime to dwindle a bit now with the big lead.

3 G 2 A in 5 periods so far...wow

The goalie he's facing is Pal Grotnes. Don't get too excited

yeah i guess we shouldn't get too excited because of the goaltender? Then that means everyone else on the team should have just as many points if the goalie is so weak.

He leads in points because he's one of, if not, the best on the ice.

Let me know when he's putting up 5 points against real teams then we can have this discussion.

You make no sense. At all. You have to be here just to stir the pot. It's the only logical explanation.

It's a sad combo of having no life and nothing better to do. If my life ever gets to the depressing point where I find gratification in constantly stiring up problems on a message board, someone shoot me.

Besides, why does he have to prove himself against an NHL goaltender in this tournament? It's not like he didn't do that enough all year in Pittsburgh.

Those stats are impressive no matter who you're playing.

Speaking of Kid Cros, here's a breakdown of his ppg.
4 pts. in a game- 3 times
3 pts. in a game- 8 times
2 pts. in a game- 18 times
1 pts. in a game- 30 times
0 pts. in a game- 22 times
Nice consistency, especially by an 18 year old, eh?

Thanks ville5, interesting post!

So he was held scoreless in 22 games? He's good for 120 points next season then ;)

Game vs Norway over now btw. Crosby finished with 1+3 while being +3

Malkin had the same total yesterday

Ovechkin had a hat trick.

Of course, it was against a ho-hum goalie, so I guess it doesn't mean much

You know what? Go **** yourself. You are a worthless human being. If for some reason you get your rocks off insulting other posters on a message board while not even attempting to contribute something worthwhile, then I truly pity you.

He got bored with only pissing on everything over at the pittsburghpenguins.com message board, so he decided to expand his horizons I guess.

Either that, or he is a living example of how registration doesn't prevent all the idiots from getting in...

Wow...they aren't even smartass comments, they are simply ass...Reilly man, you're ridiculous, why would you keep posting in a place where it's obvious no one even remotely respects your "opinion" (opinion is used very loosely here). Keep your constantly negative one-liners to yourself, you're desperate for attention, but come on, a message board?

For Sidney, for E Malkin & A Hilbert, Ryan Malone & Brooks; I'm
thrilled for all them. Don't care who they are facing...they are
out of the losing enviroment of the penguins and appear to be
having fun & success.
Who is the highest caliber goalie they could face? Haven't heard of any
high level NHL goalie going to the WC. I don't care! For Malone & Orpik
any winning feeling must be like heaven after the 2 years of losing
hockey with the penguins. I want them to return to the penguins refusing
to accept the losing. I want Sid & pens to try to pry E Malkin away from his Russian buds and get him ready for Pittsburgh.

I too want to see these players in the high pressure of
play-offs and attaining a play-off position but in the meantime
I can appreciate their
sheer skill & talent be glad their penguins.

Again I'm guessing you would be all over Sid or Malkin IF they were not
scoring.
