Here is the casino journal from the PG weighing on the Pens

Basically sums up everything from two or three posts.

Says the Hill doesn't want a casino after a forum the other night.

Then says the Pens may be the first cup winning team to relocate since 1935 when the Montreal Maroons ceased operations.

Then says Cuban is serious about a minority interest in ownership if the Pens get a new arena and says they "could make more money elsewhere, but they belong in Pittsburgh."

And the "reason" the people who stood up gave was they didn't want the casino because "it would be too much" for the community to handle.

By all means, let's just keep the Hill as the rotting carp it's been for years.

Where were these people during the hearings? Seems that quite a few people from the Hill were there FAVORING the IOC were they not?

Wouldn't shock me if these people were just paid shills for Harrah's/FC.

Apparently a casino in the North Side or Station Square is so far away that it will not affect the Hill District at all. In fact the distance is so great that no one from the Hill will ever visit it.

The Hill needs life pumped into it, it's DEAD.

SS and the North Shore already do.

Crash, I was being sarcastic. I agree with you. The Hill needs development, and it will be affected regardless of where the casino is located.
