Isn't
Raejean GM Shero's full name?
Could always shorten to RJ~ for points here.
I read once that a dog's name should not be more than two syllables.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Lots of great ones, but we are going with BHAW's suggestion of Whitney.
So... Whitney is expected to be born in late August and then home around the end of October. I will post pics on the thread later if anyone is interested.
BTW, she is a German Shepherd.

Man, when you said you were naming it Whitney, I assumed it was a Golden Retriever or something gentle. But a German Shepherd named Whitney? Something just doesn't seem right about that

My buddy has a German Sheppard named Edzo. Olzczyk was fired like two months later.
Choose wisely.

Didn't pick it because he is our favorite player. Picked it because we were having trouble coming up with a name so, we looked to the Pens and this board for inspiration.

We are naming a large female dog and trying to come up with Pens related names.
Any thoughts. Has to sound somewhat feminine.
Thanks!

First I want to thank everyone for the great name suggestions, but we went with the first one which was submitted by bhaw.
And since some of the posters asked for photos here they are. She is 7 1/2 weeks in the photo and was born on June 19th.

What a cutie. She's adorable, and the only Whitney we'll be talking about for awhile. Enjoy helping her become a dog

I threw around several ideas of dog names after pens but after a lot of thought I went with a name that is hockey related that will NEVER get old. Lord Stanley... Stanley, Stan or Stosh for short.

That's what we named our pup.

Actually we named her Gwin, but I call her Gwinny quite a bit.
She's adorable!!!! Love the floppy ears!

She's gorgeous!!!
I plan on getting a german shepherd one day..... when I'm ready to give it a lot of time and just be in a better position to take care of it. I'm too busy with everything else at the moment and I don't want to neglect the animal.
Actually, I've been becoming more and more attracted to english sheepdogs, briards, and newfoundlands. I like big puffy hair.
But a g.s. is still my #1. Check out this magnificent fella here.

I can't really agree that it's lame... I have a kitty named Darius Catspurritis.
This is his 'Love Me Do' face.
And before the thread police get after us, all these names are past & present Penguins names'.
