The Pens play Detroit in the Stanley cup final...the Pens win game 7 at Mellon Arena in OT when a loose puck misplayed off of Marion Hossa's stick is gathered up by Sidney Crosby at Center Ice who goes in on a breakaway and dekes Chris Osgood with a forehand fake (with leg kick) and roofs a backhander up under the crossbar causing the water bottle to fly 15 feet into the air....

The Pens then tackle Sid in the corner of the ice in celebration while fans climb over the glass to join in the celebration as the Civic Arena makes Forbes Field from October 13, 1960 (i.e. Mazeroski's HR blast) look like a picnic....

This would be the perfect end to the season....

so are you implying the Pens also win the President's trophy? that's probably the only way game 7 vs Detroit is in Pittsburgh. :D

I forgot to finish: then...the goal gets called back because the water bottle blocked the view of the puck entering the net...so their was no "conclusive" proof that it was a goal....then the warroom in Toronto couldn't confirm it. The call "on the ice" was "no goal" because Kerry Fraser was combing his hair while the puck crossed the goal line and missed it.

Ryan Whitney will show a much more mature side defensively and put up stronger offense numbers.

Jordan Staal will score more then 20 goals

Satan waxes his unibrow because it doesnt fit in, Melichar isnt on the team anymore.

MA Fleury follows up his stellar play off run with a season that sees him at least nominated for the Vezina.

Ruutu will absolutely destroy one of the Pens in Sweden with a "borderline" hit, making them miss a significant anount of time.....

And Eric Godard will earn his place on this team by subsequently pounding Ruutu into another galaxy.

that's one of the bolder ones so far. i only say that because there is only so much power play time to be had between the 2 of them. and i'm not sure sid can get a guy 33 ES goals, even a guy like satan.

54 goals total between them. let's say...sykora 29 and satan 25 (with some power play time given to each, but mostly to sykora).

And everyone who crapped on him and wanted him gone will be saying that they always believed in Whitney all along. I think Orpik will be labeled an albatross by Mid-December.
