How great of a man is he who insists on the poor taxpayers paying for his plaything (hockey)?
The [infrastructure] of Pittsburgh and the needs of the county far outweigh the need for another arena.
Lemieux has campaigned enough for his sport that few people care about.

They need to branch out. They need to start educating the "Public". Look at the letters to the editor link. This guy is opposing the new Arena because he still thinks that the Penguins want the "taxpayers" to pay for it. They need to reach this guy, and people like this guy. I dont know maybe he can't be reached!
If you live in the city, how do you not know about the plan already? Its been on every newspaper, every newscast in the city, multiple times. Does this guy not own a TV or a Radio? does he not subscribe to the paper he just wrote a "letter to the editor" to? What is going on with Craig from Duquesne? And if your not sports fan, just dont speak up, please. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!!

-the proposal does NOT include taxpayer funds
-the casino will NOT be owned and operated by the team
-how much money just the presence of the team generates for the area in amusement taxes, etc
-expand that to show the estimates of the money lost to the city/county during the lockout year
Show people that don't have an interest in hockey exactly what the area will lose BESIDES a hockey team. If the city and county lose that revenue, they WILL find a way to make up for it...
