RoBo Cop (he'll arrive with a nickname at least) will have his ailing right shoulder surgically repaired at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto today, a day before the Rangers open training camp at the Aud.

He's uncertain how long his recovery will take, but figured he'll miss at least a month.

Shoulder surgeries are never good for a young prospect in this sport. He is a big, physical guy too - so it may hinder him more than a finesse guy.

Let's hope he gets it fixed right and avoids re-injury while he tries his comeback.
