LGP.com needs a "New Arena" Forum

The Pens official site has an "Arena News" discussion forum for threads related to news, issues, and opinion on the new arena. There are numerous threads in that forum already. I think we need a separate forum for new-arena-related threads on this site also.

There are arena topics that will be of continuing great interest for the next 2 years until the new building opens and beyond. Unfortunately, after a few days or weeks a new thread in the general forum usually drifts onto page 2 and then more or less disappears because most people don't scroll down multiple pages of thread topics. In a separate forum, these topics would be easier to spot for people who are extremely interested in the new arena. Those who cannot log on on a daily basis would be better served. It's just a suggestion, but perhaps another forum would cost someone more money. I don't know how all that works. Check out the interesting thread topics in the "Arena News" forum on the Pens site. I guess I can just go there more often to check for new arena developments.

The problem is, there aren't many arena threads anymore. There used to be a ton before the deal was struck.

If they drift past the first page, then that means people are no longer interested in that topic. If an arena forum was made, there would only be very few topics in that forum.

I check out the Pens site every once in a while, and frequented it a lot during the negotiations period. There are not many more topics added regulary to that forum anymore.

Let's just give each person their own forum. Eliminate the others. You can only post in your own forum and no others. That way there is no bickering and you can keep all the topics you don't like out of it.

We already do. It's called the Test forum.

Let's say someone finds a URL to a site that contains the most update, detailed floor plans for the arena. He posts it in a new thread in the LGP.com general forum. A few of us get to study these plans and learn a lot more interesting details about the new arena. After a while, the thread sinks below the first page of threads. At that time, it is unlikely that anybody else will "discover" this thread and get to review the floor plans. If there was a separate forum for new-arena stuff, this thread would probably remain prominent.

Having one more or a few more LGP.com forums about certain definable aspects of the Penguins' operations and fandom could only be helpful, not harmful.

I asked for a new arena news forum back before the arena deal was finalized and there was tons of news about it. RJ (Admin) said he didn't want one then. So I doubt that he'll create one now. Anyways, I think he is on a permanent vacation with Netwolf in Ecudor because he hasn't been around for a while.
