As usual I try to turn my attention elsewhere after the 3rd day of Free Agency. And as usual, I fail. In any case, has anyone heard any word yet on whether or not the Pens are doing the boot camp again this year (as they've done since King Shero took the reigns of our sinking ship)? I honestly think it helps the team grow, and though the core has done it, what twice now, I still think it will help them continue to grow. Just my 2 cents though. Anyone hear anything?

Ah thanks. That's too bad. Doubt it will impact our play too much, but who knows. Guess we'll have to see, eh?

The Stockholm/Helsinki trip probably caused them to cancel it. Additionally, I believe Sgt. (?) JB Spisso, the guy that facilitated it, is currently deployed to Iraq

It was surprising they went back for an encore at West Point. Mr. Shero and all seemed to genuinely like Sgt. Spiso (?)

It was a suggestion from Hossa, let's do white shoe camp instead of boot camp.

LOL.
I do agree it would probably start getting redundant. I mean how many times can you do boot camp before it starts to get old and you know more-or-less what to expect? The A-Team cheesy video footage made it funny, though, but yeah it was starting to get old showing it all the time. I still would have liked to see some sort of team-building exercise, but Sweden will be a good test. Maybe they can enlist in the Swedish Army for a week and not do anything. Or better yet, Colonel Therrien can run his own boot camp...

I figured the next one was going to be Pens Camp Survivor.
