That's what I said. They upped the prices $10. I wanted to cry when I saw that.

Same here, I was hoping they'd stay the same and I could be able to afford an extra game or two, but probably not.

But in the end I'd rather have the opportunity to pay 50 bucks to go see the guys than be watching them in KC, it could be worse.

I still have ticket stubs from like 1990 when F was $19. I could call almost anytime and get F17 Row A cause nobody wanted to sit "all the way up there"... Best seats in the house...

That means next year's seasons are going up big-time too. This year I took advantage of the "Pay Now" offer and stayed at 2007 prices for them. I doubt we are getting that offer again for next season. Let's hope the increase is for the privilege of watching the defending Cup Champs!!

If you think the prices are bad now wait til the new building opens. You better start saving your money now because the prices will be going up and up and up. We have to pay guys millions of dollars that can't score 10 goals in a season. What a ripoff. The salary cap is a joke and the whole system is a joke. Freeze salaries and freeze ticket prices and everyone can enjoy the game.

Besides paying more, those of us who currently sit in the D, E, or F levels will find themselves much higher and/or farther away in the new arena. Those in E should appreciate and enjoy these last two seasons at Mellon. We have the best seats for the price in the NHL.

Yeah, I am in D and I hope that there will be enough rows up there to have folks moving from D to at least be in the lower parts of the upper bowl. I've been in some of the newer arenas though, and the upper bowl still offers pretty decent site lines and distance.

I'm going to try and enjoy the two seasons before then without thinking about it too much, but I love my seats right where they are.

Same, I'm not crazy about moving up, but if I can be pretty low in the upper bowl, I'll be fine. I had nice seats in Atlanta in the upper bowl a couple seasons ago.

I sincerely hope team management realizes that ticket prices cannot go much higher when the new arena opens. For a good portion of the 90s the Penguins completely outpriced their fanbase to the point where the average attendance was well below max capacity, even with a successful team that had some of the most talented players in the league. I fear that they are about to make the same mistake again.

The whole sport is headed in that direction and it doesn't have to. Everything is out of wack and greed rules on both sides both ownership and players association. Like I said freeze the prices or some day you will be paying $100 per seat in the last seat in the building. Players make enough money and most owners are also making money. Why squeeze tighter and tighter every year. There is no reason any player should make $10 million per year in any sport. It is just insane. Stop the insanity.

Man oh man do you guys ever have it good.

I've been trying to get tickets in Montreal and Ottawa, as I just moved to O-Town, for the Pens games... Not only are starting ticket prices much higher for decent seats (although strangely, the lowest priced seats are cheaper than Mellon's), they also bump the prices up by like 15% when the Pens or Leafs, or a few select teams are in town.

Who'd want to sit in C? Pay that much what's 10 more dollars for A. I think I'm going to be sitting up in F on the games I attend this year.

I actually like C the best of any section ($$ not considered). It is a better viewpoint than A or B, because of the slightly higher elevation. Better sight lines in most sections. Of course, dead center in B is great, but that is only 2 sections in that whole price level. A is too close to be good. You miss too many sections of the ice.

If you had to stand, where would you put your Nachos, Hot Dogs, Pretzel, Popcorn, Pizza, Skittles and Beer?

Three kids can hold two things each and then I guess Bob Errey could hold the remaining item.

Seriously, Skittles rock.

I've heard many people tell me that before, but I personally don't get it. I like getting a front row seat, right in the action.
