Flyers lose to the Phantoms, 4-2

Postby ivand87 on Tue Oct 07, 2008 10:22 pm

Please don't say this is NPR. :D

Flyers suck. Go Pens!

That is all...

Well, there you have it.

Pack it in boys, the Flyers have no holes in their lineup, and they'll certainly take the Atlantic.

it was a cupcake exhibitiion and they werent allowed to hit each other. that leads to a lot of scoring chances on both ends of the ice.

Which makes perfect sense. If the Flyers aren't allowed to be physical, which is 90% of their game, they are reduced to a middle of the pack AHL team.

I watched about a period and a half of this game last night. It looked more like an all-star game and then in the third period, the Flyers were all whatev and didn't care anymore. To be fair, the Flyers held the puck in the Phantoms zone for about 95% of what I saw. I love bashing the Flyers every chance I get but lets be serious, this was no indication of the team they may or may not be. One dude on the Phantoms was really quick and impressed me but I don't recall his name. I was at the bar when it was on.

Didn't WBS beat the Penguins when Lemieux played for them a few years ago?

Perfectly placed. Anyone that can put a Simpson's reference into a hockey discussion is a good man in my book.
