Aren't all new jerseys a money grab? (I really like the Penguins' blue jerseys though.)

I dont think they're all stupid looking, I actually like a lot of the throwbacks/alternates and think its nice to see a different look every now and then. But I agree they are just a money grab, wearing an alternate jersey doesn't give the players any boost it just gives the fans something new to buy.

maybe, but i think it keeps things fresh... its always a nice added bonus to be watching and say "oh nice theyre wearing those sharp third jerseys tonight!"

remember that winning streak we had back when they unveiled the silver striped third jersey (when they were wearing them)?

Thats why I enjoy seeing teams have a 3rd jersey but their biggest impact would still be on making more money through jersey sales than any impact on the ice.

Those Thrasher uniforms are just sick. They should fire whoever designs their uniforms.

You know, they might be able to save those Atlanta thirds just by changing the striping pattern on the arms and shoulders to the Penguins early 90's equivalent.

So your saying reebok didn't force the NHL to go to the "new jersey system" because it gave players better performance during games and not so that fans for all teams would have for fork over a 100 bucks a pop to buy new authentic jerseys. Huh, i never though of it that way

I never realized Armstrong was an A. Guess in Atlanta they reward comedy with As.
